While the vast majority of philosophical systems (and mythological, for that matter) do not feature music as an integral part of their materials, James has always said that, “the music is an important part of the WingMakers experience.” It’s not critical or essential, but it can be useful to engage with the music and let it, in a sense, carry you away.
The music arrived in 2001 with the release of the First Source CD. First Source CD was more than 60-minutes of music; it also included art files, writings and poetry. It was related to the first nine chambers of the Ancient Arrow site, which are part of The Ancient Arrow Project novel.
Over the next 15 years, nine additional CDs were released, along with numerous music compositions for poetry, film, and special meditations related to the EventTemple’s website.
From a structural perspective, the 24 Chambers of the Ancient Arrow site are contained as a collection of four CDs, and the Hakomi site has a similar collection. There is also a CD devoted to The Grand Portal, which was originally released on the Lyricus website.
For those who want to listen, the WingMakers collection is on SoundCloud, and for those who want to purchase either an individual song or a CD, you can find them in the store.
Within The Collected Works of the WingMakers Vol. I is a great introduction to the music as presented by the esteemed author, John Berges.
First Source is one of the most popular of the music collections. Its music is accessible with strong melody lines and vibrant instrumentation, and it is set with complex, soaring vocals and chants. It is the original music that was first released and it incorporates multimedia elements that can be downloaded to your computer.
The content ranges from 60 minutes of original music from Chambers 1-9 that can be played on any CD player; dozens of complex and engaging graphics and paintings (most are not found on the website); three philosophical essays; an electronic book (The Ancient Arrow Project – complete edition); glossary of terms; new music samples from chambers not yet released; three interviews of Dr. Neruda; a complete paintings gallery with very high resolution images suitable for printing; a poetry book; and quite a bit of additional content that is secreted away behind hidden passages and passwords.
The music of Chamber 10 weaves compositional patterns and sounds from all corners of the globe — geographically and historically — into a universal anthem of the Wholeness Navigator.
Chamber 10, in the context of the human genome, is analogous to the genetic structure of the human chromosome 10. This chromosome regulates, in large measure, the condition of well-being within the human instrument and its relationship to physical, emotional, and mental forms of stress.
There are 38 musical compositions within Chamber 10 that flow together seamlessly. These musical “stanzas” express the flowing movement and multi-faceted expression of the Wholeness Navigator. They are bridges through which you can travel between worlds and dimensions. This is not meditative music whose purpose is to relax your mind and body. The music of Chamber 10 is designed to call forth that part of you that is eclipsed by your human personality and the human dimension of experience.

Integrates ambient, pop and contemporary hip-hop beats with cross-cultural chants, evoking an ethnic blend of India, Native America, and beyond. Complex rhythms, percussive textures, and stirring melodies strike a rare balance between classical form and ambient atmospherics. Chambers 11-17 is a lush musical journey infused with a sense of traveling to other worlds, times, or cultures. The beat-driven soundscapes are hypnotic, and bring both a sense of peace and energy to those who listen. This is soulful, global music.
The vocals of Charlottemarie soar on several of the songs and interact hauntingly with the Native American chants.
From the Ancient Arrow Project, Chambers 18-24 contain 62 minutes of melodically abstract, intricately layered music compositions. It’s the most complex of the Ancient Arrow compositions, blending strong, pulsing rhythms, otherworldly textures and instruments, with multi-layered vocals and chants. The music is inspiring to the body, mind and spirit. This is definitely higher energy than the previous two releases, more spatial, and more focused on vocal and chant, and complemented by multiple counter melodies that creates a sense of mystery and suspense.
This is an integrated experience for the heart and mind.

Hakomi Chambers 1 & 2
The music of Chamber 1 and 2 from the Hakomi Project is nearly an hour-long journey into a musical soundscape that fuses rhythmic vocals and instrumentation into spellbinding compositions. These are exotic, otherworldly sounds, deriving from a very sophisticated palette of sounds, textures, and moods. Superb vocals are ornamented by deep, harmonic drones, stirring melodies, and a mesmerizing array of world percussion.
Hakomi is a Hopi word that when translated means: “Where do you stand in relation to the other realms.” This CD release from the WingMakers is truly notable in its compositional flow, representing a remarkable array of instruments and wordless vocals that are expertly blended into an expression of the inexplicable. This is the first release of material from the second WingMakers’ site discovered near the city of Cusco, Peru. It follows the release of the four CDs that comprise the Ancient Arrow site, which was discovered in Northern New Mexico. More information about this new site can be found in the Fourth Neruda Interview. Music from chambers one and two is included on this disc. Each are extensive and compelling compositions with an amazing variety of strong, melodic passages reminiscent of the Ancient Arrow Project, but also breaking new ground compositionally.
The presence of the Wholeness Navigator is invisible to the human instrument, and, for the most part, is not felt sufficient to induce the behaviors of soul. The higher pathways of the mind imagine it, capturing it like the wind a seed, and these images can be translated to the emotions and body through music more vividly than any other art form.
- Hakomi Translation Chamber One
Hakomi Chambers 3
The music of Hakomi Chamber 3 is a mystical journey into a melodic soundscape that fuses an amazing array of vocals and chants with acoustic instrumentation and electronic sounds that are both ethereal and mesmerizing. The CD consists of a single composition that flows uninterruptedly for 75 minutes, making it amongst the longest compositions ever produced. For all its length, Chamber 3 flows effortlessly like a great river, inviting the listener to experience a musical adventure that expands and deepens consciousness as if the music itself were a teacher. The composition is a melding of styles, voices, and instrumentation that summon the mind and heart to listen. The music from Chamber 3 is challenging and complex, dark and mysterious, and light dances throughout its expansive soundscape.
In the generosity of stars we live. By the freedom of our will we love. Through the enchantment of the unexplored we learn.

Hakomi Chambers 4-6
Hakomi Chambers 4-6, is an 80-minute journey into the subtle regions of the human spirit. It combines an intricate tapestry of acoustic and electronic instrumentation interspersed with the soaring and inspiring vocal chants of Charlottemarie, Gregorian monks, and nearly a dozen other vocalists. This CD is a meaningful fusion of the human voice, subtle melodies, spatial depth, and spiritual content formed in, and orchestrated by, the mantras and chant lines embedded within each chamber song. Compositionally, it incorporates exotic rhythms, rich melodic lines, and an intriguing array of instrumentation that blends western and eastern traditions – both ancient and modern.
What is within is without equal, it arises from the smallest space where the First Vibration of the Unmanifest surges in the splendor of One World’s Grace.

Hakomi Chambers 7-12
Hakomi Project: Chambers 7-12, incorporates the energetics of higher dimensions through the use of exotic rhythms, intricate melodies, meditative passages, layered harmonies, spoken poetry, and ancient mantras in their original languages. This soundscape inspires and resonates with our deepest longing to approach the divine within us. These are deeply moving compositions with subtle, multifaceted textures and luminous melodies that flow seamlessly like one composition (CD is over 76 minutes). Featured prominently are Charlottemarie’s soaring, emotive vocals, performing intricate chants and harmonies that originate from ancient cultures thousands of years old. Vocally this CD is more complex than any of the WingMakers’ collection of nine CDs, and these soaring vocals play a wonderful counterpoint to the complex rhythms, the layered percussion and fluid, dexterous guitar work that make this CD so compelling.

Hakomi Chambers 13-21
This is the newest release of music from the WingMakers. James has decided to make this an exclusively digital release, so there is no CD available for this particular album. These nine compositions are extremely melodic and stirring with soaring, intricately layered vocals provided by the renown Vima Lamura. These compositions have exotic percussion and clear connections to Indian compositional structure, but with a modern twist.
The Grand Portal (Lyricus)
The Grand Portal, is an engaging journey into the Heart of All Things. It is an inspiring blend of orchestral movements and vocal chants supported by the rich and diverse textures of masterful percussion, hypnotic bass lines, and subtle, mysterious counter-melodies. The exuberant sense of adventure that accompanies its flowing compositional structure is both undeniable and inspiring. The CD consists of two compositions, Solotonic Transformations 1 (24:20) and Solotionic Transformations 2 (32:20). The CD is over 56 minutes, and as is typical of James’ compositions, it is a musical adventure, or as James puts it: “Music for Discovery.” Melodically, there is great potency in this CD, with sweeping, pastoral orchestral movements that draw your attention internally—to the region of the innermost heart. It seems as if the compositions are movements of the spirit, designed to entrain the heart to a new level of expression and buoyancy.

Hakomi Music CD Collection
The Hakomi Chamber Music Collection from the WingMakers consists of four music CDs spanning the Hakomi project from Chambers 1-12. This collection reflects the rich and evocative assortment of melodies that are often considered by WingMakers aficionados as the more abstract and hauntingly beautiful compositions of the WingMakers collected works. Purchased as a collection, you will save 15% off the regular price.
In addition to these novels, James’ publisher has produced two, full-color compendiums of the body of WingMakers’ literature, diagrams, papers, artwork, and poetry.
The literature of WingMakers is vast and varied. It often puts people into the mode of “where should I start?” Your scanning the materials and seeing what resonates with you best answers this question. As everyone is activated by different elements, stories, characters and even cover art. See what resonates and trust your own sense of where to start…or even whether to start.
The WingMakers Materials, including its literature, is not for everyone. It requires an open mind to be sure. Also a willingness to appreciate the abstract and illusory worlds we live in. In many ways, we’ve become acclimated to a material life, staring into a screen that has become the resting place for our eyes and ears.
If we want to get a sense of the WingMakers narrative from its original expression, then The Ancient Arrow Project novel is a great place to start. This novel is regarded as the “headwaters” of the WingMakers.
If you tend to like more practical wisdom and are seeking more specific methods to explore the “How to” approach, then the papers by James Mahu on the energetic heart and six heart virtues would be a great place to start.
Those who like magical realism and novels that focus on esoteric spiritual concepts would enjoy Quantusum, The Dohrman Prophecy, or The Weather Composer series.
For those who want the broadest possible understanding of the materials, The Collected Works of the WingMakers, Vol. I is without doubt the best method to gain the broadest and perhaps the deepest understanding of the work as a whole.
If you like more dystopian-style novels, then the more recent book, The Weather Composer, series would be an excellent choice.
Collected Works of the WingMakers Volume I
Collected Works of the WingMakers – Volume I (CWW) is the definitive collection of the writings over a twelve year span (1998 to 2010) by James Mahu—the visionary creator behind the WingMakers, Event Temples, SpiritState, and Lyricus websites, books, booklets, music, art, poetry and metaphysical papers.
This beautiful and comprehensive volume contains insightful introductions and commentary by Editor John Berges that provide context for the diverse body of material that James has made available. Considered by many within the enlightenment community to be one of the most esoteric collections of spiritual information on the planet, CWW is made easier to understand by Mr. Berges’ expert explanations.
CWW includes the popular “Ancient Arrow Project” novel, paintings, poetry, e-books, glossary and techniques for working with the materials. It is what many WingMakers’ students have wanted for many years—one book you can study, mark-up, and research.
The works of James Mahu are extensive, ranging from poetry, philosophy, art, spiritual novels, and papers. The Collected Works of the WingMakers Vol. I is full-color throughout with an amazing view into both cosomology and personal spirituality. Any student of the esoteric works, will find this volume an indispensable part of their library. (Volume II will ship fall 2013).

The Ancient Arrow Project
The Ancient Arrow Project involves shadowy global powers, top-secret government agencies, extraterrestrials, time travel, secret advanced technologies, and a higher form of remote viewing referred to as sensory bi-location. If all of these fact-based elements were not enough, the author introduces a highly advanced, enigmatic group of beings called the WingMakers.
The WingMakers are the catalytic force of The Ancient Arrow Project, and a potential threat to the secret agenda of Fifteen, the head of the ACIO (Advanced Contact Intelligence Organization), and its clandestine research team, the Labyrinth Group. When students discover a strange artifact buried in the desert of the Southwest, little do they suspect that it will lead the Labyrinth Group to an amazing underground vault of interactive cultural antiquities—and a host of puzzling questions about how they got there, who placed them there, and what they mean.
The author, James Mahu, creates a wondrous tapestry in The Ancient Arrow Project. He weaves together fact with fictionalized mythology as the warp and woof of a story that is essential for the next three generations of humanity. He threads mythological elements of the ACIO and Ancient Arrow mystery together with multimedia expressions of philosophy, metaphysics, glyph language, poetry, music, and art.
James stimulates our imaginations and opens our minds to a human existence that surpasses the material world, culminating in the discovery of the Grand Portal and the science of multidimensional reality in the latter part of the 21st Century.
What if you awaken on a deserted island, and don’t know how you got there, don’t know your name, don’t have a single memory… Your efforts to find answers to your perilous predicament lead you off in confusing directions… and yet, your destiny beckons you to humankind’s most vital event: the irrefutable, scientific discovery of the human soul—The Grand Portal.
Quantusum is the story of an ancient plan and a modern man who collide in the mystery of life’s highest purpose. And those beings who watch, wait and lay their traps, because they desire this plan to fail.
Quantusum is a mythos-based novel as powerful and engaging in its storytelling as in its philosophical underpinnings. The novel blends a love story, rich psychological drama, results of recent medical research, and deep, probing philosophical discovery into a page-turning masterwork. Challenging and rewarding at the same time, Quantusum is sure to draw you into a fantastic many-layered magical realm you can experience as if it were your own.
Using first-person narrative, James pulls the reader into a world of many dimensions, and we learn, for the first time, the mysterious nature of how The Grand Portal is discovered and how it operates. We see how the forces of established power resist the most important discovery of humankind. This is magical-realism at its very best!
The Dohrman Prophecy
Deep in a mystical forest, hidden by centuries of myth and technologies of stealth, three monolithic stones rise like beacons brought to this planet by an unknown source. It is the most secret possession of the Church, and it is alive in ways that no one predicted.
There is one who will awaken it and this is what is whispered among the elite who have read the most secret of all books The Dohrman Prophecy.
The awakening has begun from a single journey, but all of us will feel the changes.
From the author, artist, poet, composer who created the contemporary mythology known as the WingMakers, comes a new journey into consciousness equally provocative and stirring to the soul. The Dohrman Prophecy is an expansive novel set in a mystical time and mythical place, but its characters are carved from the very real forces that shape our world—religion, government and heroic individualism.
If you’re a fan of Paulo Coelho or Kahlil Gibran, you will love the poetic prose of The Dohrman Prophecy. Its message of transformation and love has that rare flavor of truth and substance that only the best works of spiritual fiction offer. It is a novel that has it all: love, romance, fierce conflicts between good and evil, and intelligent characters who define individualism and personal transformation.
The Weather Composer: Rise of the Mahdi
The Weather Composer is a fictional novel that is about a time in earth’s future when a global nevent occurs that is called Sunrot. Sunrot is an incident that describes when an overactive sun ncreates devastating effects on earth’s populations. The story takes place twelve years after the nevent of Sunrot happened, and shows how a young boy in a Baluchian tribe in eastern Iran becomes identified as being in possession of a very special intelligence.
The leadership of earth wants to rebuild the technologies that it had before Sunrot, and they have special schools where they send the brightest students. They test students for entry into these special schools, and this Baluchian boy, whose name is Terran Kahn, is identified by their system as having an IQ that is literally off the charts. The leadership wants him, and they send a team to extract him from Mashhad, Iran. The problem is that the tribe, from which this boy is from, believes that he is the Mahdi.
The Mahdi is prophesied to be the one who unifies all religions into Islam. There is a great conflict between the Baluchian tribe and the new world leadership as they fight over possession of this boy. Meanwhile, Terran has his own vision, and that is to prevent another Sunrot. He wants to be able to compose weather to control its effects so if another Sunrot were to occur, the food supplies could still be managed.
The conflict of the story is about who controls the incredible one-in-a-trillion intelligence that Terran possesses, and for what purpose this intelligence is used. Terran knows he needs to have access to the best teachers on the planet, and so he wants to leave his tribe, and be taught. He does not want to be the Mahdi, however, the question is, does he have a choice?
The Weather Composer: The Battlefield is Born
The Weather Composer: The Battlefield is Born is the second novel in the trilogy called The Weather Composer.
After an extinction level event called Sunrot devastates the Earth, humanity must rebuild. A secret prophecy, held by the Vatican is leaked by a Cardinal who defects from the Vatican and takes the prophecy to a U.S. Senator. The prophecy tells of an overactive sun that puts humanity back into the Stone Age, and reduces its populations by 90 percent. This prophecy is held by a senator who later—after Sunrot hits Earth—becomes the President of a global government called the Greater Nation.
Three characters are born simultaneously on the eve of Sunrot, and in the same general vicinity in the Middle East. They are Terran Kahn, the Mahdi; Nura Yonan, the Christ; and Malik al-Hashimi, the antichrist. These three individuals are identified by the new educational system of the Greater Nation as being UHIQs (people in possession of Ultra-High Intelligent Quotients). They are brought together by the educational system and trained in different ways, and for very different purposes.
The Art of WingMakers
WingMakers art is an integral part of providing tools for people to activate and remodel their personal belief systems. James Mahu has released a significant body of art in his chamber paintings and associated graphics. In the novel, The Ancient Arrow Project, the art is given a very specific relevance.
It’s important to remember that every element of the WingMakers mythos is an integral part of a whole. The art is an essential player in magnifying the spirit of these materials across cultural and language barriers.
The beauty of art and music is that it requires no translation. It transcends language barriers. Thus, WingMakers relies on these elements to provide anyone, regardless of background, language or culture, access to the activating frequencies encoded in these works.
The art that James Mahu has developed is, at its heart, a symbol of the Sovereign Integral. It represents this most primordial consciousness that remains largely undetected and underutilized. The art of WingMakers provides a new horizon line where we can sense the glow of a new world forming like a nascent heartbeat before the body fully forms.
In effect, if the Sovereign Integral consciousness is behind closed doors, then the art of the WingMakers is a method to wedge these doors open for the individual to peer inside.
This work is rooted in our cosmic matrix. There is a feeling of a rupture—of time, space, materialism, and human-created providence. It is numinous and in a real sense, it’s escaped the persona of one man. It is involved in something deeper and something unconsidered. Its subject is seldom exhumed or touched because it is hidden in collectivity.
This is the purpose of the WingMakers art: to activate the collective archetype of the Sovereign Integral. To dredge this consciousness, so well hidden, to the surface of human existence so it can be examined in a new light. And in this examination, a person can activate this consciousness within themselves a little stronger.
The Sovereign Integral has existed throughout human existence as a visionary rumor, occasionally represented in artistic expressions like paintings, poems, architecture, dance, and literature, but it is seldom seen more vividly or explicitly as in the WingMakers Materials.
In effect, if the Sovereign Integral consciousness is behind closed doors, then the art of the WingMakers is a method to wedge these doors open for the individual to peer inside. The art is like a pregnant language that holds meaning, but the individual must allow it to draw them below the surface. If you allow the art to seize you, it can bring you to the principle understanding of what we are.
There are three primary collections of the art:
- The chamber paintings of the Ancient Arrow site
- The chamber paintings of the Hakomi site
- The digital art (including books covers, and digital mashups)
